What is gua sha?
Gua sha is similar to cupping in that it promotes more blood circulation over
a large part of the body.  The acupuncturist may use a thick Chinese spoon
to rub over stagnate areas to release pain and tension.  The ultimate goal is
to have muscles release, so you have greater range of motion and ability.

Shonishin instruments are gently rubbed over the skin to treat children.
Children respond very well to this less invasive therapy.  Since they are so
full of potential, so full of vigor and energy, it does not take much to promote
healing with children.

shown at the top of the

with children.
